War Stories from the Heartland

War Stories from the Heartland is a collection of stories and experiences from those who have served in our military and call the “Heartland” home. The series is dedicated to the heroic service of all those in the military as a reminder of their sacrifice to our great country. This and subsequent volumes are intended to be representative of all the great military conflicts in which the men and women from the Heartland have been engaged, from the Civil War to the present.
